Neck MR Angiogram- How to Prepare

You should wear comfortable, loose fitting clothing on the day of your neck MR angiogram. You may be given a gown to wear during the exam.

Metal objects, including jewelry, eyeglasses, dentures and hairpins, may affect the CT images and should be left at home or removed prior to your brain CT. You may also be asked to remove hearing aids and removable dental work. Credit cards must also be removed because they could be damaged during the neck MR angiogram.

Women should always inform their radiologist or technologist if there is any chance that she could be pregnant.
