You should wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing on the day of your MRI guided vacuum assisted breast biopsy. You should also avoid wearing any clothing with metal or jewelry. You will be asked to remove any piercings from the waist up if possible.
Unless you have been instructed otherwise, there are no diet restrictions and you should proceed to take your medications as usual on the day of your MRI guided vacuum assisted breast biopsy exam. Be sure to let your radiologist or technologist know if you have any serious health problems or allergies to medications prior to the exam.
Women should always inform their radiologist or technologist if there is any chance that she could be pregnant.
